Got questions?
What does EveryMite Reduced Aussie Salt taste like?
Each EveryMite uses the same 4 base ingredients.
Certified Organic Black Sesame has a slightly ‘nutty’ taste to it even though it is made of seeds not nuts.
Certified Organic Coconut Aminos have a beautiful sweet taste. This is from the coconut nectar that it is sourced from.
Certified Organic Apple Cider Vinegar again has a sweet taste, like Apples. It also has a slightly ‘tart’ taste due to the fact that it is fermented.
Pink Himalayan Rock Salt and/or Pure Australian Sea Salt both actually have different tastes and you also get different nutrients from them. Sea Salt actually has a ‘stronger’ taste than Rock Salt.
But what does it Taste like?
People ask if EveryMite tastes the same as Vegemite, Promite etc.
People ask as they either love or hate the taste, so they are interested to know what EveryMite is like.
Some people say it tastes like the traditional versions, and some people say it tastes
completely different. When I created EveryMite, I made it to taste similar to Vegemite but Different. The purpose of this was to create a similar version for us so our son could have a vegemite-like spread that he could safely eat for the rest of his life.
Reduced Salt
As it has half the amount of salt as the "Original", it tastes sweeter. The reason it is sweeter as you can taste the aminos and the vinegar more
People liken this one more to Promite, Aussie Mite etc
What is the difference between the EveryMite versions?
In every jar of EveryMite is:
The Original and FodMap Friendly
both use Himalayan Rock Salt.
Reduced
Aussie Salt uses Pure
Australian Sea Salt and has half the amount of salt of The Original.
The Original and Reduced
Aussie Salt contain less than 2% of raw fermented
garlic, onion and chilli. FodMap Friendly EveryMite
does not have any at all.
Baby is a reduced salt
and low FodMap version.
Immushroom uses the Baby recipe and includes
Shitake Mushroom for extra nutrition and taste.
Vitality is The Original recipe and uses Hilbilby Fire Tonic instead of Apple
Cider Vinegar.
Is Everymite suitable for vegetarians/vegans?
Yes, all Everymite varieties are suitable for vegetarians and vegans
Does EveryMite Reduced Aussie Salt contain any added sugar?
No, Everymite contains no added sugar
Are the products shelf stable?
Our whole range is shelf stable even once opened. This means they can be stored at room temperature in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
What is the serving suggestion?
Use as a traditional breakfast spread for toast, sandwiches, crackers. It is delicious mixed with cheese, avocado, and Tofu/Chicken.
Use as a stock in cooking. For example, Stir Fry; Mince dishes like Spaghetti Bolognese, Meatballs, Tacos; Tofu dishes; Soup; and/or Gravy.
Use as a marinate for any Meat or Tofu/Vegetarian dish.
Use it as a dip with raw veges.
Why does EveryMite not use table salt?
Sea salt is produced through evaporation of ocean water or water from saltwater lakes, usually with little processing. Depending on the water source, this leaves behind certain trace minerals and elements. The minerals add flavor and color to sea salt, which also comes in a variety of coarseness levels.
Table salt is typically mined from underground salt deposits. Table salt is more heavily processed to eliminate minerals and usually contains an additive to prevent
clumping.
